VILLAGE CENTER APARTMENTS

VIA worked with Lamoille Housing Partnership and Evernorth to build desperately-needed affordable housing in Morrisville, Vermont. The new building, on a small, steep, infill site in the downtown district, features a combination of twenty-four studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments designated for low and moderate-income residents. The downtown location offers walkable and bikable access to food, services, recreation, and public transportation. The building is highly efficient, with solar-powered, decentralized heating and ventilation systems for each unit. Despite the tight budget and challenging site, the building is a model of modern technology that marries the efficiencies of scale with details that make a place feel like home. The building was fully occupied upon completion in August 2023.
