ROCHESTER PUBLIC LIBRARY

Beginning in mid-2011, VIA worked with the Rochester Public Library and Historical Society to design a new accessible entry, accessible bathroom, additional stack and office space in a new addition, and energy upgrades to their historic downtown building. The design services, partially funded by a municipal planning grant, included a Section 106 Historic Preservation review and submission, a complete structural analysis of the existing building, and a series of energy assessments and systems proposals for the renovated structure. The result is a welcoming, light-filled community building that highlights its unique and beautiful historic features.
