HINESBURG POLICE DEPARTMENT

In 2012, VIA began working with the town of Hinesburg to design a new public safety facility to house the Fire Department, Police Department, Ambulance, and other community spaces. The design process evolved to include master planning for the site surrounding, including the planning of a town green, associated parking and pedestrian access, and landscaping. VIA worked extensively with the public, the selectboard, and representatives from each department to develop a campus/complex that meets the needs of the community while being sensitive to the surrounding built and natural environments, as well as the town’s budget. To date, the police department and accompanying landscape is complete.
