Receives 2024 Preservation Trust Award

The Fairbanks Museum and Planetarium received a Preservation Award at the Preservation Trust of Vermont’s recent conference in Bellows Falls. The new science annex addresses universal accessibility with a three-story elevator that opens the balcony to all visitors for the first time. It also features the use of eastern hemlock cross-laminated timber, a ground-source heat pump heating and cooling system, and a multi-layer water management system for resilience in the face of climate change.
