Project Architect
In the face of climate change, we are asked to reassess our responsibility to and awareness of ecological systems and geologic timescales. I believe that architecture operates at a unique in-between scale that can both aid humans in understanding the processes we are intrinsically a part of and cultivate a more reciprocal future. The more time that I spend in the woods, on the slopes, or in the water the greater reverence I have for our interconnected earth, and the stronger my commitment to leverage architecture to not just be good but do good.
My love for complex problem solving and cross-disciplinary collaboration brings authentic joy to the process of architecture – there’s nothing like that “eureka” moment when a team arrives at precisely the right solution. I am excited to work with an impressive team of inspiring individuals and eager to continue striving to do right by our planet and each other.
I’m a third-generation architect, avid outdoorswoman, serial volunteer, and unrelenting optimist. Raised in the Finger Lakes Region of New York, I first came to Vermont – and Vermont Integrated Architecture – by way of Middlebury College. A summer internship with VIA was my first “real” job! Ten years later, it feels right to return to the Green Mountains with my wonderful partner, our rescue mutt, and black cat. I enjoy good coffee and bad puns.
