Learning Skills is one of the highlights of Vermont Academy’s secondary school education. At Vermont Academy, faculty members recognize that each student has his or her own, unique way of learning and processing information. The Vermont Academy Board of Trustees and Administration designated this early 20th century, history building to learning skills, where students may receive one-on-one instruction in all disciplines. Both Ashar and Andrea worked on this project to restore its exterior roof and façade, to make it accessible to all, and to renovate and reconfigure the interior to house this new function along with its new technologies. Accessibility strategies included retrofitting the existing building for the inclusion of a LU/LA.
