The company offers both print and electronic resources aimed at design and build construction projects from a whole-systems perspective and takes an integrated design approach that minimizes ecological impact and maximizes economic performance.

ACORN Renewable Energy Co-op

The Acorn Energy Co-op is a member owned business serving the residents of the 23 towns of Addison County, Vermont, and the surrounding area. The Co-op emerged from its umbrella organization, the Addison County Relocalization Network (ACORN), in June 2008 to help transition area communities from their near total dependence on fossil fuels to a greater reliance on affordable renewable energy strategies. As the Co-op has grown, these strategies have expanded to include biomass heat, solar hot water and solar electricity initiatives, and other heating, energy and efficiency products and services.

Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility

Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility (VBSR) is a non-profit, statewide business trade organization with a mission to advance business ethics that value multiple bottom lines – economic, social, and environmental.  VBSR strives to help members remain profitable while setting a high standard for protecting the natural, human, and economic environments of the state’s residents.  The VBSR’s mission is advanced through education, public influence, and workplace quality.
